Our Story

We’re the family behind Sønderhaus—a brand rooted in Scandinavian heritage, thoughtful design, and a slower way of living. And now, we’re bringing that same spirit to something a little sweeter.

Opening June 2025, our Swedish candy shop is a nostalgic extension of the world we’ve been building. Growing up, some of our fondest memories were made at our family’s cabin in the Midwest. Every trip into town meant a stop at Granny’s Pantry—the local bulk candy store. Scooping sweets into paper bags, discovering new flavors, and sneaking a few on the ride home… it was a simple joy that never got old. We wanted to bring that feeling back.

Swedish and European candies are different in all the best ways—less artificial, no high-fructose corn syrup, and often colored naturally with fruits and vegetables. They’re a treat you can feel good about, made with care and intention.

We grew up in Utah County and when the opportunity came to do something new in our old space, we knew it had to be this. A little shop full of color and delight. A way to give back to our hometown and share something joyful with the people around us.
